Notes: information sent to me from a Beth also trying to find more information on Edward McManus: I received the tape from my cousin of my great Aunt Eleanor. Here is some of what she said... She said the same about Edward McManus being 7 when he came over. Apparently an older woman found him wandering the streets of Ogdensburg looking for his Aunt. The woman took him in and raised him. He didn't have any contact with his family in Canada until he was much older. She also said something about a woman named Pearl who worked in a hat store in Smith Falls. My Uncle Cliff was on the tape too and spoke of Pearl.

(it would have been around 1881? when the woman found him in Ogdensburg. Still trying to track down more information.)
